JESSE

The first pet I'll put here is Jesse!  He is my dog. We got him from Pet Helpers in December 2005. He is a purebred MUTT, and we love him! He loves to do tricks and has a wonderfully sweet personality.   He's passed the Canine Good Citizen test sponsored by the American Kennel Club. He is also a Pet Therapy Dog and we visit the Children's Hospital at MUSC.  He's a GOOD DOG!

A very sweet guy with a relaxed and loving personality. He's actually quite spry for 16 years old! Update: Bandit and his family have moved to Chicago!  We'll miss them all, and wish them the best.  Update again: I just saw Bandit's mommy on a trip to Chicago, and Bandit is doing great. He's enjoying his new friend Pace, a retired Greyhound.

Two very sweet brothers that PAWSITIVELY love football!  Except that Atlas is somewhat heavier, they look identical!

 Cooper and Stoney

 Cooper is the energetic chocolate lab puppy and Stoney is the mature black lab.  

 Lady Isabelle (Bella)

Lady Isabelle is probably the only English Toy Spaniel in the Charleston area.  If anyone else has one, please let me know as her mommy would love her to have a friend!  She's a sweet girl with an absolutely wonderful life...we should be this lucky! 

 EMMITT

Emmitt is a beautiful and energetic 1 year old Vizsla who we've know for awhile.  He is always so happy to see us!  Unfortunately for us, his "grandparents" take him away for weekends in the country where he can romp and play freely, and doesn't need pet sitters!  But when he's home, we get to see him almost every day!  Em says "roo, roo" to Katie!

Emma (black) and Sadie (White) are two lucky dogs that live together in a wonderful home. They have a nice fenced backyard that overlooks a little pond. They enjoy playing together and watching the activity in their pond!

Brady

Brady is a loving tricolor beagle that can't get enough play time. He loves people and big dogs (he secretly thinks he is a husky). His favorite activities are going to the dog park, sitting on top of the couch while watching the day go by, and being chased around the house by his owners. His owner said this picture shows off perfectly his personality!
 

 Oscar

Oscar is a beautiful3 yo chocolate lab that we get the pleasure of walking on a regular basis. He is a very sweet dog, walks great on the leash and a pleasure to visit! 

 Chloe is 3 years old. Her birthday is Dec 6. She is 1/2 Alaskan Malamute and 1/2 Akita. She is really good with our 14 month old daughter.  She doesn't play fetch or with many toys. She will chase a soccer ball or squirrel! She loves to dig holes, sheds like crazy in the summer and loves being outside. She is a lead dog; you can tell when you take her for a walk...she always has to be in front!

Elmer & Claude

Vito

Vito is a very sweet kitty that has finally come to a wonderful home.  He was a rescue kitty, who had most likely a broken jaw in the past, and finds it a little hard to eat.  But he loves to be snuggled and loved.  So we are making up for a rough start now with lots of TLC!  He was an only pet until his family got a fish, but somehow I bet he still gets all the hugs & kisses!

Bailey

Another Bailey!  Obviously very different than that our Cocker Spaniel pictured /right beside!  This Bailey, a Vizsla mix, is about 4 years old, and she is a girl.  She loves to run every day with her owner, and we just come along and take her for nice walks during the day.  She is her owner's baby, for sure! 

 Alice  & Hannah

Alice the cat is a 20 year old lady that we visited with while her family took a nice long trip to Europe!  She is amazing!  She jumps up onto a little stand to eat her dry food, and otherwise just sleeps and enjoys retirement life!  She love to be brushed and petted.   

Hannah is a very sweet 8 year old springer spaniel who lives with Alice.  She is a special needs dog in that she needs medication to keep her going.  But she takes her medicine well, and loves us to visit.  She loves her morning walks and does many fun tricks for biscuits!  

IN MEMORY OF

The following pets have gone to "Rainbow Bridge" and will be missed greatly by their loving owners and their pet sitters.  We wish them well until we next meet! 

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

 JOSH

Josh was one of our older gentlemen.  He was about 15 years old, and is Border Collie Mix.  He loved to pull his "brother" on his skateboard and take brisk walks.  He never did realize that he's getting up there in years.  He always greeted us with a wag and a rub!  He was always a pleasure to visit!

 LUNA

Luna was a very sweet retired greyhound.  She lived with her two kitty friends.  Not long before she passed away, she celebrated her 13th birthday and Luna had a beautiful birthday cake to help celebrate her becoming a teenager! I know her family misses her greatly, and we miss her sweet and gentle manner too.

   DIEGO

MYSTIC

Mystic and Diego belong to Jaime and Mark, who sometimes help me care for your pets (when I need a vacation!). Diego is very playful and Mystic is a little shy. Taking care of these cats helped me to realize that I really do enjoy caring for animals, and that this would be a fun job to do for real!  Update: They recently have increased their family by adding Bear, a black lab, and Fluffy, a sweet homeless tan kitty! Update: December 08 this family moved back toward family in the Virginia area.  They will all be missed!  Keep in touch guys!

PASHA

 Pasha is an adorable 2 year old male who lives West Ashley.  We're glad to add Pasha to our website and hope to visit with him again soon!  Update: Pasha has a brother named Tipu.  We're glad to visit them both!

Brady

Brady, a beautiful 5 yo German Shepherd,  obviously was not in South Carolina when this picture was taken! He was born in Connecticut, but lived most his life in New Hampshire.  He recently moved south with his family  & he loves to play Frisbee, run with Mom, and play catch.

 Ruffles

Ruffles is a shy 8 yo gal.  The big white ruffle was the inspiration for her name. She has lived here in the south for a short time, but loves to hang out on her patio! 

NeeCee

This little dog is adorable! She is from N.C., thus the name NeeCee. She is very sweet and friendly, and loves her new doggy door!  She is a terrier/long hair daschund mix. 

Fella

Fella is a 2 yr old Plott Hound rescued from Friends For Keeps in Indianapolis. He just moved here from Indiana, but Fella loves Charleston - especially the beach! His favorite activities are chewing bones, going for walks, and watching the neighbors.

Maggie, Boomer, & Lady

 Three lovely country dogs that we were able to care for while their family celebrated on a cruise!  We're hoping for puppies to join this family in the near future.

Jeanne and Kris' friends

 The sweet black dog is Venus, and she belongs to my good friends Jeanne and Kris who live in Emerald Isle, NC.  We have not pet sat for Venus because she lives far away, but I've visited her at her house and she wants to be a part of our pet family.  I had to include her friends Josh and Josie also, the cute Shih Tzus below! They are all ready for a road trip to  Charleston, so you may see them soon!

Erin & Chundo

Erin is a13 year old black lab mix, diabetic and insulin dependent that has caused her to go blind. She still has energy like she was half her age. Erin loves her Pawsitively Pet Sitter, Wendy! (AND..Wendy adores Erin too!)

Chundo is an 11 year old Jack Russel Terrier mix who has the craziest hair a dog can have. Her favorite pastime is to play fetch with a tennis ball and is known to use her smarts for evil and not good!

Jasmine and Zoe

Jasmine  (below in the shoebox) and Zoe are two very shy kitties we took care of while their mom took a cruise!  They have a wonderful home and are very sweet--and love to listen to classical music! 

 Zane, Miles, and Mia

Zane (L) is a 9yo blue-point mix who is happy to have a good meal and a comfy couch to nap on. Miles (R) is highly energetic flame-point Siamese who is always looking for something to get into, including chasing his sister.  Mia is below. She is a 13 yo from Feline Refuge and still enjoys good heath. She is very shy and spends alot of time hiding from Miles! Look at her beautiful eyes.

Muddy & Lily

Muddy (Chocolate Lab) and Lily (Yellow Lab) are two of three dogs who live in a home with their friends Kitty and Terrier-mix Chester.  The owners are wonderfully patient people who take in rescue labs and work with them to make them great pets.  Lily is a doll, while Muddy is the puppy and is still working out lots of energy!  These dogs can chase a ball forever!  Both are beautiful dogs.

Tabitha is a very sweet kitty who lives with her three other kitty friends (Boots, Inky, and Tigger).  She is a "Hemingway" cat having 6 toes on each paw,  but she doesn't know any different.  She does great for an 11 year old lady, who has the most beautiful green eyes!

Bailey

Bailey is an adorable cocker spaniel that we get to visit with often.  He is about 7 years old now, but came to his owner at about 8 months old as a rescue dog with some "issues".  He has since become a wonderful pet and we enjoy so much taking him for long walks while his owner is at work!  He has become the perfect Southern Gentleman.

Cat-5 & Missy

These two "healthy" cats are living the life!  Although they are a bit overweight, they are very sweet and obviously love each other!  Does anyone know where the name Cat-5 could have come from?  Interesting story as it has nothing to do with felines!
